I really liked both of your photos. The contrasting colors in the first photo was was drew my eyes to it almost immediately. Also, the lines of the wooden fence, the brick, and even the electrical wires all moves my eyes in different ways across the picture. You did a good job with following the parameters of the project by getting the whole photo in focus, which I know is difficult to do with some objects. In your second photo I recommend a bigger object to be your foreground subject. But, the way the tree and its odd shaped branches stood out against the straight brick and concrete of the building behind it created a nice visual variety. Also, way you framed the second picture with the tree as your focal point and how it stood against the stark white of the snow was very visually pleasing. But, the white of the snow and the lightness of the sky could have changed your exposure and washed out the image slightly.
